Overall, the apartment feels poorly maintained and badly managed. While the location is great. Positive: The only real positives about this apartment are the location, which is excellent, and the reasonably spacious living area with a modern kitchen. If you're only looking for somewhere to sleep and won't be spending much time there, it may be adequate. Negative: Unfortunately, the rest of the experience fell well below expectations. Before check-in, I was asked to transfer a £300 security deposit outside of the Booking.com platform. This immediately concerned me because it appears to go against Booking.com's own policies. I contacted Booking.com beforehand, and they assured me it was fine and that they would be liable if the property manager failed to return it. The deposit was supposed to be refunded within seven days of checkout. Instead, I had to chase, and was initially told they couldn't even locate the deposit, almost a month later after I received it after I stated I would escalate the matter through Booking.com. The building itself is in poor condition. The communal areas were cluttered with residents' belongings, the lift frequently didn't work, and the overall impression was neglected and unwelcoming. Inside the apartment, everything was more or less as advertised, but it was noticeably worn. The sofa was damaged, with the back broken. The biggest issue during my stay was the shower. The overhead shower leaked badly, resulting in very poor water pressure. Maintenance apparently attended after I reported it, but nothing actually improved, and I gave up raising it again because I just wanted a quiet, hassle-free stay. There were also security concerns. One evening I discovered that the key provided also unlocked another apartment in the building. I realised immediately that I was at the wrong door and left, but no guest should ever be able to unlock someone else's apartment. That was particularly worrying.
